Volunteers Needed

Volunteering is a good thing...it's an American Thing! 51% of Americans volunteer their time to a charity. Senior citizens who volunteer a few hours a week are happier and healthier. Young people find a reward in giving of their time and talents, too. Many public high school groups require community service, and most kids find it a fun experience.

Volunteer Categories Include:

Policy Volunteers - Those serving on YMCA Boards & Committees
Program Volunteers - Those having direct contact with YMCA members and people in the community. Helping the Y deliver programs and service and with membership functions.
Fundraising Volunteers - Those responsible for the leadership and legwork that goes into successful fundraising campaigns and special events.
Support volunteers - Helping in the office, facility and grounds.

YMCA Ambassadors:

The YMCA Ambassador Program helps new members gain a deeper relationship with the YMCA. The Ambassador Program is a great way for current members to become more involved in the YMCA.

What can YMCA Ambassadors do? They can give tours, phone new members, introduce new members to existing members, workout with new members and much more.
