Share the Spirit

The YMCA is a not-for-profit that runs an annual fund-raising campaign to provide scholarship and financial assistance to families and children in need of program at the YMCA. From membership to childcare, these funds help change lives in your community. Every dollar that is raised goes directly back into building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. Volunteers are needed to help spread the story and the mission of the YMCA.

Coaches

From basketball to swimming, volunteer coaches are the back bone of YMCA sports. If you would like to coach a YMCA sport or a one time summer camp, please contact your local branch director.

Morning Mission

The YMCA has a team of volunteers that go out each week and call BINGO at senior centers, teach chair aerobics classes, deliver meals, clean homes, or whatever is needed in the community - free of charge. The need is so great that more volunteers are needed. Contact Emily at 770-868-2917 for work dates and information.

Facilities Volunteers

From childwatch to group exercise, the YMCA thrives on help from the community. Spend a couple of hours a week or a month working at the welcome center, childwatch keeping babies, teaching exercise classes and swim lessons, chatting with members on the wellness floor, or working in the back office. The YMCA will change you forever.

Mentors

The YMCA keeps over 150 children everyday after school and all day during the summer. These children are in need of tutoring and guidance. The YMCA can pair you up with a child that needs YOU to help them get through those difficult times in life, or just a difficult math problem. Contact your local branch director to be paired with a child TODAY!

Special Events

From Health Fairs to Halloween, the YMCA does numerous special events through out the year that require the work of a lot of people, and volunteers are always appreciated.
