Each year the YMCA brings together volunteers that believe in the mission of the YMCA to go out and tell the “Y” story to people in the community. Telling these stories helps to raise money for the YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign for financial assistance. This assistance is given to families in Barrow, Jackson and Walton Counties in need of the life changing experiences provided through ministries at the YMCA.

The support received from our community is the reason the YMCA of Georgia's Piedmont is able to continue serving those in need. At your YMCA, no one is turned away from membership or program involvement because of financial need. The YMCA of Georgia’s Piedmont has been serving the community since 1996. Today we service over 15,000 people through YMCA membership, ministries, and services at three facilities in Northeast Georgia. As a not-for-profit organization, we strive to reach people of every age, race, faith, and socio-economic status, and we do not turn anyone away due to inability to pay. Through the generosity of our Board, Volunteers, and Donors, the YMCA provides over $250,000 worth of program and membership subsidies to families throughout Northeast Georgia every year. We serve families in Barrow, Franklin, Walton, Hart, and Elbert counties.
You may ask, "How can I help?" Contribute to the Share the Spirit campaign and tell your "Y" story to friends and families, and the experiences that change lives will continue through you!
When you join the YMCA, you join a movement of nearly 100,000 people making positive changes in our community through YMCA ministries like:
Spanish classes
Teen enrichment and leadership training programs
Wellness and life coaching classes and seminars
Christ focused childcare and sports
The Value of a YMCA membership goes beyond gym and swim. You are part of an organization that is dedicated to changing lives.
