Membership Policies

MEMBERSHIP CARDS:
Upon joining, you will receive a YMCA picture I.D. card. This is your passport at the YMCA. It is required that you and each member of your family scan their card each time you enter the facility. This policy protects your membership and allows the YMCA to monitor and measure peak usage times.

ENROLLMENT FEE:
All new memberships require and enrollment fee. If a member allows their membership fees to lapse more than 30 days they will be required to pay the enrollment fee again and any back membership fees that might be due. A prorated monthly fee is also due at the time of joining.

MEMBERSHIP FEES:
Membership fees vary with each type of membership. Members may choose to pay their membership dues annually or on a monthly bank draft method. Bank draft members may choose the 1st or the 15th of every month. A voided check and bank draft authorization signature is required. Bank Draft Memberships are continuous until cancelled by the member. Memberships paid on an annual basis will be invoiced.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
Financial assistance is available based on need. The YMCA holds an annual campaign to raise funds for this purpose. At the YMCA, no one is turned away for membership or program participation for inability to pay.

YOUTH AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Ages 0-6 must be accompanied by a parent at all times or be in the Child Watch department with a parent on premises.
Ages 7-12 must have a parent on premises at all times.
Ages 13-14 may be dropped off at the YMCA but must have a teen fitness badge to enter the fitness center
Ages 15 and up have full facility access.

CHANGES IN MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY:
Bank Draft Members—When upgrading your membership, additional fees may be due at the time of upgrade. Additional family members may gain access to the YMCA at the time of upgrade. Membership privileges for a cancelled or downgraded membership will take place upon the date of the next draft. Bank draft memberships are continuous until written cancellation is received by the YMCA.
Annual Paid Members—When upgrading your membership, additional prorated fees are due at the time of upgrade, allowing additional family members to gain full access to the YMCA at the time of upgrade.

CANCELLATIONS:
There are no long term membership contracts at the YMCA. Thirty (30) days written notice is required to allow the YMCA time to complete the processing of a bank draft cancellation. Your must complete a cancellation card and submit it to the front desk. Your signature is required to be on file with the cancellation form.

CHANGING BANK INFORMATION:
Each member is responsible for notifying the YMCA in writing of bank changes thirty (30) days in advance of the monthly draft date. Failure to notify the YMCA may result in returned draft charges or cancellation of your membership. Please complete a change of information form at the YMCA front desk.

ANNUAL INVOICE REFUND POLICY:
Our goal is to satisfy our members. If you are unhappy with your membership, the YMCA will refund the unused portion of an annual membership.

LOYAL MEMBER:
The YMCA strives to have loYal members. Joining the LoYal member program allows you to secure your membership fee for the life of your membership. Please see a front desk associate for details on how to enroll in the LoYal member program. This program is for a limited time only, so take advantage now!

GUEST POLICY
$10 per day per guest when unaccompanied by a YMCA member
$5 per day per guest when a guest of a YMCA member
Guest must be 18 years of age or accompanied by a parent/legal garden or have written permission allowing the YMCA member over the age of 18 legal guardianship while on premises.
Childcare services are not included in the daily rate fee. An additional guest pass must be purchased for any children staying on premises. Children not with a legal guardian must have a signed waiver.

AWAY PROGRAM
The AWAY (Always Welcome at YMCAs) Program allows YMCA members to use their ID card at any participating YMCA nationwide. The front desk can assist you with locating a YMCA you wish to visit. YMCA’s outside of a 50-mile radius of an association branch may visit up to 10 days/month for up to 2 months with no additional fees.

CONDUCT POLICY
The YMCA expects members and guests to behave in an appropriate manner as stated on our guest and membership applications. Members and guest not following the YMCA code of conduct will be asked to leave the premises.

SPECIAL SERVICES FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES
The YMCA provides opportunities for those with disabilities to participate in programs. We are handicapped accessible and special assistance is available upon request.

LOST AND FOUND
All lost and found items will be held until the end of the month, at which that time they will be donated to the local thrift shop. Please see the front desk for lost and found locations.

SMOKING
The YMCA is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not allowed on YMCA property

PICTURE POLICY
Pictures are taken by YMCA staff for promotional purposes. Your picture can be used at any time for use in YMCA publications.
