Swim Lessons

Registration for swim lessons begins June 6, 2011. Sign up As soon as possible to reserve your spot. Traditional Group Swim Lessons taught with 5 children per instructor for ages 3 and up. 8 classes, 8 guaranteed.

LESSON DETAILS:

  • $15 members / $30 non-members
  •   4 swim lessons scheduled per week and 4 swim lessons guaranteed
  • Lesson will run for one week Monday - Thursday

MAKE UPS: In case of inclement weather classes will be made up on Friday. Times will stay the same for make ups.

ITEMS NEEDED: Bring a towel and suit. Advanced classes need goggles. Children not potty trained must wear a swim diaper. No Diapers Please.

Class Descriptions

Ages 5+
For beginner swimmers ages 5 and up. Children will work on water orientation, kicking skills, floating, doggie
paddle, and breathe holding. Children not potty trained must wear a swim diaper.

Ages 3 - 5
For beginner swimmers ages 3-5. Children will work on putting face in the water, blowing bubbles, kicking skills, and basic water orientation. Children not potty trained must wear a swim diaper.

Advanced
For all swimmers ages 5-12 beyond beginner classes. Children must be able to put their face in the water and swim the length of the shallow end of the pool. Children will work on learning and perfecting swim strokes.

Adult
For all levels of swimmers ages 13 and up. Work on
Floating, swimming and stroke skills based on level of need.  

Private Swim Lessons

Is you child ready for one-on-one instruction? Our swim instructors are trained and ready to spend quality time with your child, from beginner to advanced.

Cost: $25 for 30 minutes for members and $45 for 30 minutes fo rnon-members - each additional child is $5 per 30 minutes

Additional info: No more than 3 children per private session allowed. Siblings only please. Sign up at the Welcome Center. An instructor will contact you within 48 hours of payment to schedule your first lesson.

Swim Team

The Bell Family Branch is home of the Hartwell Hydros Swim Team.  The swim team is a great way to move the lessons to a more specialized swimming program.  Swim suits and meet fees are additional costs.  Full details are available at the front desk.

  • Ages 5-17
  • Cost: $40 members, $80 non-members
  • Days/Times: Mon, Wed, Fri, 7am-9am
  • Registration: March - Juine

Pool Parties

Enjoy the best party a child can have...in the YMCA POOL!

Cost:

  • 1 hour pool time / 30 minutes party room starts at $50
  • 1 1/2 hour pool time / 30 minutes party room starts at $75
