General Pool Information
- Inclement weather, including lightening and thunder, may cause our pool to close.
- All children who are not potty trained must wear a swim diaper when in the pool. Regular diapers are not allowed. Please use the family restrooms for changing and dressing children. Swim diapers are available at the Welcome Center for purchase.
- If someone becomes ill or has an “accident” in the pool, the YMCA is required by state code to close the pool for a set amount of time. In order to help prevent accidents from occurring, lifeguards will ask all children and teens under the age of 15 to clear the pool for a 5 minute restroom break every hour.
- For the safety of your child and to lower the risk of drowning, all children must be swim tested by a life guard before entering the pool. Children will be issued a wrist band. This band must be worn at all times while at the YMCA pool. Children that do not pass the swim test will be issued a life vest that must be worn at all times on the pool deck and while in the pool.
