Active Older Adults/Silversneakers

 The Bell Family Branch participates in the nation wide Silversneakers (TM) Fitness program. This program, offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield and Humana, are part of a Medicare and Medicaid supplemental plan that covers the cost of your YMCA membership.

Stop by the YMCA anytime for a tour and to find out if you are eligible.

*Eligibility is based on your Medicare supplemental insurance plan and is only available through Blue Cross Blue Shield and Humana.

All trips leave Winder at 9:00am unless otherwise specified.  Please RSVP with the YMCA front desk by the Friday before each event.  You can register online or at the YMCA for all outings.

The below activies are are scheduled outings for 2010.
January 27 - Leonardo Da Vinci at the High.  $25 per person due Jan. 1. Visit drawings and paintings of the famous artist. Price includes admission and transportation. Lunch after exhibit additional. Bus leaves at 9:30am.
February 27 - “Wedding Belles” at the Ga. Mountain Players.   $15 per person due to the Y Feb. 1 includes transportation and admission. Bus leaves the Y at 1pm. Lunch after play additional.
March 31 - Tour of BMW Plant in Spartanburg, SC.  Visit the BMW auto maker plant and lunch afterwards. $20 per person due Mar 1 includes transportation and tour. Lunch additional. Bus leaves at 8am.
April 24 - “On Golden Pond” at the Ga. Mountain Players.  $15 per person due to the Y April 1 includes transportation and admission. Bus leaves the Y at 1pm. Lunch after play additional.
May 27 - Wolfe Mountain Vineyards.  $10 per person due at time of registration for transportation. Additional $10 optional fee due day of trip for guided tour of vineyards. Bus leave Y at 10am. Lunch at vineyard café on own.
June 30 - DeKalb Farmer’s Market.  Bus leave the Y at 9am. NO FEE (Transportation pro- vided). Lunch on own at the market as well as shopping for fresh meats and produce.
